Videos, clips, and frames
Videos store media and metadata. Clips identify portions of videos; frames provide access at particular positions. Their commands have distinct reference and position requirements.
Common workflow
AddVideo stores video media and metadata. FindVideo selects videos by metadata, while clip and frame queries can restrict results to a parent video. Clip ranges and frame positions retain the units used when they were added; searches do not convert between frame numbers, time offsets, and fractions.
